What does this calculator show?

It estimates the share of U.S. adults who meet your filters. You can choose the country or a state.

Does it use the same filters for men and women?

Yes. It uses the same filters for both groups so you can compare the two estimates.

How do I read a one-in result?

For example, 1 in 20 means that about 5% of the selected group meets your filters.

What does the single filter count?

It counts people who are not currently married. This includes people who are in a relationship or live with a partner.
